b. Robert Moore Opening Reception

b. Robert Moore | Field of Dreams: Out the Mud (Redux)
FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | DRINKS & BITES SERVED
b. Robert Moore creates mixed-media figurative works which are inner-connected with Moore’s identity and experience as a Black man in America. He’s inspired to create uplifting narratives and images of people from his community and abroad through similar life identity and experiences. Storytelling is the backbone of Moore’s work, and he uses found and upcycled materials that have their own stories, to connect to the work prior to composition. He deconstructs his materials and rebuilds the work to compose a cohesive story rooted in Black American experiences and the history of African diaspora and African roots.
Moore’s work can be found in the collections of the Butts Family Collection, D-Nice, Taye Diggs, Gayle King, Taraji P. Henson, and Cedric the Entertainer.
And join us for The Lot Party at Moberg Gallery on Saturday, June 24, from 5-8 pm. Moore will be here to discuss his work with spoken word artist, B.WELL, of the B.WELL Foundation. There will be a DJ, Palm’s Carribean food truck, spoken word performances, and more. Bring the whole family!
