Join us for a Lampwork Glass Jewelry Trunk show with artist Marlene Slothouber: Friday June 21st 12-4pm and Saturday June 22nd from 10 - 3pm Marlene will be joining the gallery as an artist and we will be showcasing her newest jewelry including 'snap-on' glass topper rings, blown glass beaded necklaces, and earrings. Marlene adds fine silver to her blown hollow glass beads to create a glittering effect. Olivia Gude teaches about art education for schools and communities at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. 6. Zanzibar's Coffee Adventure Poetry Readings - 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Join us at Zanzibar's Coffee Adventure, 2723 Ingersoll Ave, Des Moines, IA 50312, for Art Week poets. Friday will feature Marilyn Baszczynski, Heather Smith, and Crystal Stone. Check other weeknights for additioanal poetry readings.

7. Des Moines Art Center World Refugee Day Self Guided Tour

Guests of the Art Center can pick up a self-guided tour highlighting a selection of works in the collection by artists who fled their native countries under duress and have gone on to create art that enriches and expands our human capacities for growth, curiosity, and empathy.

8. Des Moines Social Club - Mini Golf 6PM - 9PM

Join us for a round of mini-golf at this artist-designed course! The course will be open from June 21 - June 30th.
