Event Type

Share your photographs in a neighborhood-wide collage!
Do you live, work, attend school, or have historical or familial connections to the Columbus Park Neighborhood? I’d love to include your photographs in a wheat paste collage. The collage will span multiple walls throughout the neighborhood, including one of the walls at Graziano Brothers.

Do you have physical photographs that you would like to submit?
This scanning party is a perfect opportunity for you to digitize your images!

What to bring:

  • physical photographic prints
  • 35 mm negatives

The activity:

  • Meet the artist! Brittany Brooke Crow will lead this activity and be available to answer any questions you have about the project.
  • Have your images scanned while sharing stories with your fellow community members.
  • Scanning takes time! You may drop off your photographs for the artist to scan after the event. Brittany Brooke will collect your information to coordinate a time to return the photographs to you.
  • Light refreshments, including wine (for 21+), will be provided.

Parking:

  • The enclosed shelter is located on the top of the hill on the southwest side of the park (just north of the historic Italian-American Cultural Center). There is a small lot next to the shelter with accessible parking.

In addition to their use in the neighborhood collage, you will be given a copy of the black-and-white digital file of your images for personal use. This is a great opportunity to digitize your photographs for free!*

*Note: scanning is limited to photographs connected to the Columbus Park neighborhood and associated businesses and community organizations.
